Nonghyup Distribution Employees Volunteer in Rural Areas to Prepare for Heavy Rain

Nonghyup Distribution, which operates Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, announced on the 20th that its executives and employees carried out volunteer activities to help local farms under Daesin Nonghyup in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, in preparation for heavy rain, as part of the "Pan-Nonghyup One-Heart Intensive Rural Labor Support Day."

The Pan-Nonghyup One-Heart Intensive Rural Labor Support Day is an event in which Nonghyup executives and employees across the country simultaneously participate in farm labor support to assist farmers struggling with labor shortages, encourage nationwide participation, and provide support to farming households.

During the volunteer activities, Nonghyup Distribution executives and employees helped with tasks such as maintaining greenhouses, cleaning up warehouses and drainage ditches, and collecting waste materials and trash. In addition, the company is promoting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management that coexists with the local community through social contribution activities such as support during the busy farming seasons in spring and autumn, as well as disaster prevention and recovery efforts for flood damage.
