Bungaejangter Selected as First Certified Online Operator for Safe Used Phone Transactions

"We Will Establish Ourselves as a Model Example"

Bungaejangter announced on June 20 that it has been selected as the first certified operator in the online sector under the government's 'Certified Safe Used Phone Transaction Operator Program.'

The Certified Safe Used Phone Transaction Operator Program was introduced by the Ministry of Science and ICT to enhance transparency in used phone transactions and strengthen consumer protection.

The certification criteria focus on consumer protection, including requirements such as establishing procedures for deleting personal information and providing purchase price information by device grade. Bungaejangter obtained both the purchase operator and sales operator certificates after passing document screening and on-site inspections.

A Bungaejangter representative stated, "With the implementation of the government's Certified Safe Transaction Operator Program, we expect a healthy ecosystem to be established in the rapidly growing used phone market," and added, "As Korea's first certified safe used phone transaction operator, we will continue to set the standard for safe transactions and serve as a model example."
