Through this business agreement, each organization agreed to cooperate in expanding the number of Line Pay-affiliated merchants to improve convenience for Taiwanese tourists, promoting Busan’s tourism content using the Line Pay platform, and supporting the promotion and sales of products offered by tourism companies based in Busan.

Line Pay-affiliated companies will showcase various tourism content at Gimhae International Airport for five weeks starting from the 21st. A range of benefits will also be provided, including a Line Pay points lottery event designed to encourage the use of convenient payment methods by Taiwanese tourists.

Jin Ho Yoo, Head of Tourism Content Strategy at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "In 2024, 49% of Taiwanese tourists entered Korea through Incheon Airport and 24.6% through Gimhae Airport, which is a significantly higher rate of regional airport use compared to other international visitors to Korea. Taiwanese tourists also ranked first among foreign visitors to Busan. As more than 80% of the adult population in Taiwan uses Line Pay, we expect that this agreement will serve as a starting point to enhance payment convenience for Taiwanese tourists visiting Korea and, in the long term, contribute to attracting more international tourists overall."
