The water play areas operated by the city until August 31 include six locations: Jukmi Sports Park, Malgeumteo Park, Majung Forest Park, Araeddeul Park, Osan City Hall Plaza, and Osaek Water Playground.
Jukmi Sports Park in Segyo-dong is a representative facility equipped with an adult water play area, a combination play structure, showers, and restrooms. Malgeumteo Park is a nature-style water play area featuring a ground fountain, play facilities, and a fish-catching experience zone.
Majung Forest Park and Araeddeul Park are new spaces established last year. This year, an adult water play area has been added to Majung Forest Park, while Araeddeul Park is equipped with a simple shower facility and a ground fountain.
Osaek Water Playground, located near Osaek Market, offers excellent accessibility due to its proximity to the city’s commercial district. During the summer, Osan City Hall Plaza is also operated as a water playground for children. In addition to play facilities such as a combination play structure, water drop, and water shower, it is equipped with non-slip mats, shade canopies, and temporary changing rooms.
The city will operate the water play areas only on weekends until July 13. However, during the peak summer heat from July 19 to August 17, they will also be open on weekdays. After that, from August 23 to 31, the facilities will return to weekend-only operation. Operating hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and every Monday is a regular closing day.
This year, the city will also operate some water play areas at night. Majung Forest Park, Jukmi Sports Park, and Araeddeul Park will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. on July 26, August 2, and August 9.
Meanwhile, in addition to the existing water play areas, the city is also constructing two more in Cheongho-dong and Busan-dong.
