Jon Rahm (Spain), who plays in LIV Golf, has been revealed as the highest-earning golf player. According to the annual golf player earnings ranking recently announced by the American business magazine Forbes, Rahm earned $102 million (approximately 140.7 billion won) over the past year. Rahm made $92 million through tournament appearances and added another $10 million from various sponsorships. His tournament-related earnings include the transfer fee he received for leaving the PGA Tour and moving to LIV Golf. Since joining LIV Golf for the 2024 season, Rahm has claimed two individual titles in LIV Golf last year.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (United States) ranked second in earnings with $97 million. Last year, he secured seven victories on the PGA Tour, and this year, he has already won three times, including the major PGA Championship, clearly outperforming Rahm in terms of performance. However, with $67 million in tournament-related earnings and $30 million from various sponsorships, he conceded the top spot in earnings to Rahm.
Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), who achieved a career Grand Slam this year, ranked third with $84 million, while "golf emperor" Tiger Woods (United States) came in fourth with $55 million. Fifth place went to Collin Morikawa (United States), who earned $50 million. Four LIV Golf players made it into the top 10. In addition to Rahm, Joaquin Niemann (Chile) ranked sixth with $49 million, Bryson DeChambeau (United States) was eighth with $45 million, and Phil Mickelson (United States) was tenth with $40 million. Among Asian players, Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) earned $42 million, placing ninth.
