This inspection will target 30 water facilities with a floor area of 100 square meters or more, as well as newly reported facilities, in the Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeju regions, from this month through August. The inspection will cover the frequency of water quality testing, compliance with water quality standards, maintenance of water depth (30 cm or less), cleaning of storage tanks (at least once a week), water management (replacement once a week or daily filtration), operation of disinfection facilities, and installation of information boards.
The Environmental Office stated that if any violations of management are found during the inspection, fines will be imposed and the use of the facilities will be suspended until improvements are made.
Director Kim Youngwoo said, "Through thorough inspections of water play facilities, we will ensure a safe summer play environment."
