According to the city on June 17, this performance, which combines traditional percussion, singing, dance, and theatrical elements, is an original production inspired by "Bubaeban," the old term for Jeonju Bibimbap. It incorporates the symbolism of the five cardinal colors and the yin-yang and five elements philosophy.

This unique musical play expresses each ingredient through music and performance, blending taste, color, and emotion on stage as if they are being mixed together.

"Sorijijon" is a professional arts organization designated by North Jeolla Province and a social enterprise certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The group aims to popularize culture and the arts, foster intergenerational empathy, and realize social values through creative content planning, performances, and educational activities.

On this day, Sorijijon will present a stage consisting of six acts, beginning with a powerful opening performance using various drums, fans, and flags. The acts include: [Baek (White)], depicting people from all over the country gathering in Jeonju through a lively "Saetaryeong" (folk song); [Jeok (Red)], featuring a cheerful contest between beef and pork; [Cheong (Blue)], presenting a witty debate between meat-eaters and vegetarians through rhythm; [Heuk (Black)], a fusion Korean traditional music piece singing of hope through gochujang and soy sauce; and an epilogue stage where the audience joins in.

The city expects that this performance, as a complex art show blending the vibrancy of percussion, Korean sounds, modern band music, stage art, costumes, and dynamic performances, will be an enjoyable experience for all ages who visit the venue.

No Eunyoung, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "This stage reinterprets the region's traditional cuisine and color philosophy through art, and we expect it to deliver the emotions and identity of Jeonju to the audience in an enjoyable way. We ask for much interest in this performance, which all generations can enjoy and relate to together."

Meanwhile, Sorijijon's "Bubaeban in Jeonju" performance is free of charge in celebration of "Culture Day," and tickets can be reserved through the Naru Culture website or by phone.
