Five Incheon startups participated in 'Viva Technology 2025,' held in Paris, France from June 11 to 14, establishing a foothold for entering the European market.
VivaTech is the largest technology exhibition in Europe, bringing together innovative companies and investors from around the world. Along with CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, USA, and MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain, it is considered one of the world's top three technology exhibitions.
According to the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority on June 16, the five Incheon companies operated exhibition booths within the Startup Promotion Agency’s integrated pavilion, showcasing innovative solutions aligned with the event’s theme of 'New Frontiers of Innovation,' each based on their unique technological strengths.
Woori Idle Plus Co., Ltd. demonstrated 'Celluble,' an eco-friendly beauty solution that replaces plastic; Futuresense presented 'Food4Chain,' a blockchain-based SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for food traceability; The Day One Lab introduced biodegradable plastic materials based on natural polymers; ID City showcased 'uGPS,' an indoor GPS satellite system; and WeDrive proved its technological prowess and competitiveness with 'WeDriveBIZ,' an ESG-based corporate mobility management solution, all on the international stage.
During the exhibition, the booths of these companies attracted more than 1,000 global buyers and local visitors, resulting in over 350 business meetings. Some of these meetings led to export consultations, with active discussions on actual contract signings and investment reviews. In addition, multiple MOUs were signed with European companies and institutions, demonstrating both the technological excellence and global expansion potential of Incheon startups.
In particular, Futuresense signed a strategic MOU with Guillotine, a premium vodka brand based in France. The two companies plan to expand the marketing and global reach of premium vodka products by combining a blockchain-based system for secure verification and traceability of premium food origins with AI technology that enhances efficiency in food manufacturing.
Woori Idle Plus also received significant attention by pitching on the main stage of VivaTech 2025 on the theme of sustainability. The company discussed collaborations with global beauty firms such as Sephora and L'Oreal, and signed distribution agreements with well-known Parisian department stores (Lafayette, Le Bon Marche) and French pharmacies, thus accelerating its entry into the European market.
Yoon Wonseok, Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "We will actively support companies' overseas expansion centered on Incheon Startup Park and strengthen cooperation with the global ecosystem to enhance our international standing as a 'global startup hub.'"
