Shilla University Signs Agreement with Air Incheon for Aviation Talent Development and Industry Exchange

Shilla University (President Heo Namsik) has signed a business agreement with Air Incheon, the only cargo-dedicated airline in Korea, to foster specialized talent in the aviation sector.

On June 12, a signing ceremony was held at Air Incheon's headquarters, attended by Shilla University Vice President for External Affairs Lee Heetae, Air Incheon CEO Kim Gwansik, Vice President Kang Ingu, and other key officials from both institutions.


During the ceremony, the two organizations agreed to actively promote the development of aviation professionals by efficiently operating an industry-academia cooperation system. This includes support for academic, educational, and research activities in the aviation field, support for specialized personnel, and other areas of collaboration.


As the first university in the southeastern region to establish an aviation college, Shilla University has been continuously expanding its educational infrastructure to nurture competitive talent for the domestic and international aviation industries. In particular, the university is actively running practice-oriented curricula and industry-academia cooperation programs to respond to changes in the global aviation market.


Air Incheon, the only cargo airline in Korea, is strengthening its competitiveness by expanding its medium- and long-haul cargo routes. Through this agreement, the company has established a foundation to quickly secure highly skilled professionals with strong practical capabilities.


The two institutions are expected to create a synergistic effect by cooperating to foster professional talent who will lead the future of the aviation industry.


Lee Heetae, Vice President for External Affairs at Shilla University, stated, "Air Incheon is the leading airline with high growth potential in the cargo aviation sector," and added, "Shilla University will further strengthen industry-academia cooperation so that our students can fully demonstrate their capabilities at leading domestic and international airlines."


Shilla University is making every effort to cultivate global aviation professionals through practice-oriented education, with a faculty composed of experts from airlines and military and civil aviation institutions, in preparation for the opening of the Gadeok New Airport.
