Geumcheon-gu in Seoul has officially launched the 'AI Tax Guidance Chatbot,' an artificial intelligence (AI)-based automated response system, through the Geumcheon-gu Office website.

This chatbot service was introduced to enhance the convenience of taxpayers' tax-related inquiries and to strengthen the efficiency and accuracy of tax administration in line with the era of digital transformation. Residents can access real-time information on local taxes 24 hours a day, regardless of time or location.

The chatbot is equipped with a variety of features to help residents resolve their tax-related issues. It provides basic information on local tax items such as automobile tax and property tax, and offers immediate access to links for various tax forms required for civil applications. An email transmission function is also supported, making the process of handling civil complaints more convenient.

In addition, the chatbot offers real-time answers to frequently asked questions. If an inquiry cannot be resolved by the chatbot, it guides users to consult with a staff member. The system also reduces errors that may occur during the search process and alleviates inconveniences, thereby improving user convenience.

In particular, reflecting the local characteristics of Geumcheon-gu, where the national industrial complex G-Valley is located, a function has been added to verify the 'national industrial complex status,' which is essential when reporting and paying license taxes. The chatbot provides information identical to the lot number search results from the 'Toji-eum' website.
