On June 16, real estate platform Zigbang announced that it will launch a certified listing service for "Ansim Imdaein" (Safe Landlord) properties in collaboration with the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) to create a safer rental transaction environment.
The Ansim Imdaein system is a program in which HUG grants a certificate to landlords who meet certain requirements, such as having no history of guarantee accidents or a specific number of jeonse guarantee subscriptions. This system aims to enhance the provision of information necessary for tenants to enter into safe rental contracts.
Going forward, when a property owned by an Ansim Imdaein is listed on Zigbang, a separate certification mark will be displayed at the top of both the property list and the detailed property page.
In addition, Zigbang is strengthening its public cooperation system to eradicate false listings. Since January, in collaboration with the Korea Real Estate Board, Zigbang has been conducting "Internet Monitoring of Real Estate Brokerage Listings and Advertisements" for officetel properties. As of June 1, the monitoring scope has been expanded to include apartment listings registered on both Zigbang and Hogangnono.
The false listing monitoring system operates by linking real-time transaction data held by the Korea Real Estate Board with listing advertisement data registered on Zigbang and Hogangnono. This system manages the removal of advertisements for properties that have already been sold or rented, thereby preventing consumer harm caused by false listings.
Songwoo Ahn, CEO of Zigbang, stated, "Through our collaboration with HUG, we expect to resolve the information imbalance that has been prevalent in the real estate market and contribute to revitalizing transactions." He added, "Zigbang will continue to actively participate in various cooperative opportunities to foster a sound real estate transaction culture as Korea's leading brokerage platform."
