Various Social Contribution Activities Continue Through the End of June
Citibank Korea announced that on June 14, Citibank employees and their families across the country participated in the "Citi Global Community Day" activities.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, "Citi Global Community Day" began with the "Harmony Concert" held on May 28, and has continued with initiatives focused on supporting vulnerable groups and youth, environmental conservation, financial inclusion, and public interest in local communities. Activities such as creating barrier-free maps for the visually impaired, manufacturing lightweight safety carts for resource recycling activists, night plogging, black-faced spoonbill habitat conservation, and Habitat for Humanity’s house-building projects are scheduled to take place sequentially through the end of June.

Yoomyungsoon, President of Citibank Korea, participated in the "Voice Donation Storybook Reading" event at the Citibank Korea headquarters in Jongno, Seoul, where volunteers read and recorded fairy tales for children who do not have adults to read to them.
Participants received professional voice actor training in advance and recorded the stories by taking on different roles and performing them as if acting. The recorded voices, together with books, will be compiled into a sound book set (Dambbuki), allowing children to listen as they turn the pages. These "audio storybook sets" will be donated to child welfare facilities nationwide. This program, now in its second year, is a collaboration between Citibank Korea and the social enterprise Aloha Ideas, which develops reading aids for marginalized groups in the community.
President Yoo stated, "Citi’s 'Global Community Day' is a meaningful tradition in which employees around the world come together to serve their communities," adding, "Citibank Korea is proud to be part of this meaningful journey each year through a variety of activities, and I hope that our employees’ voluntary participation and warm hearts will continue to benefit those in need in our communities this year as well."
