Samil PwC and the Samil Mirae Foundation announced on the 16th that they had carried out volunteer activities on June 13, together with the 'Yongsan Dragons' joint volunteer group, to support wildfire victims in Gilan-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongbuk.
This initiative included participation from more than 60 employees from 24 Seoul-based companies and foundations, including Samil PwC, Samil Mirae Foundation, Amorepacific, Seoul Metropolitan Government, National Health Insurance Service Yongsan Branch, and Sookmyung Women's University. They provided support to help wildfire victims who lost their homes in a large-scale fire recover their daily lives.

The volunteer group delivered essential goods kits containing food supplies to over 160 households residing in temporary prefabricated housing and planted 1,800 shrubs near the residential facilities to create rest areas. In addition, in preparation for the hot summer, they built outdoor benches and prepared them for installation in 15 housing complexes. The benches will be sequentially installed in each temporary housing complex through the Gilan-myeon office.
This activity focused not only on delivering goods but also on meeting the daily needs of the victims and improving their living environment. By providing outdoor rest areas for the summer, the initiative is expected to directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for the wildfire victims.
Lee Gowoon, a representative from Samil PwC who participated in the volunteer work, said, "It was meaningful to be able to provide practical help to improve the quality of life for disaster victims facing difficulties," and added, "We will continue to contribute to solving social issues through sustainable sharing activities."
In March, Samil PwC, PwC Consulting, and the Samil Mirae Foundation donated 150 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to support recovery efforts for wildfire damage in the Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan regions. The donation is being used for emergency relief for victims, daily life recovery, and forest restoration.
