From 'Light Sugar' with One-Third the Sugar to the Next Level
Convenient Standing Pouch Packaging for Enhanced Freshness
On June 16, Nongshim Kellogg's announced the renewal and launch of 'Corn Frost Light,' a product with reduced sugar content and enhanced flavor.
'Corn Frost Light' is a renewed version of 'Corn Frost Light Sugar,' which was first introduced in 2004. 'Corn Frost Light Sugar' led the low food trend by reducing sugar content to one-third compared to the original product, and has consistently gained popularity among consumers who prefer a light meal.
This renewal features even lower sugar content and improved taste, thanks to advanced low-sugar technology. Using Kellogg's proprietary sugar reduction technology, the sugar content per serving (30g) has been reduced to 5g. Nongshim Kellogg's unique formulation preserves the original's signature sweetness and crispy texture. To retain the nutritional value of grains, the product is baked rather than fried, and it contains 11 essential vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins needed for energy metabolism, folic acid important for growth and development, and zinc.
The product name was changed from 'Corn Frost Light Sugar' to 'Corn Frost Light' to deliver a more intuitive message to consumers. The packaging has also been upgraded from a box to a standing pouch for improved freshness and storage convenience.
Jang Hyejin, Marketing Manager at Nongshim Kellogg's, said, "Corn Frost has evolved into 'Corn Frost Light,' which offers both taste and nutrition in a healthier way. Just as we led the low food trend and set the direction for a healthy food culture 20 years ago, we will continue our efforts to support consumers' healthy breakfast tables in the future."
