Mapo-gu Launches 24-Hour Interactive Administrative Service Based on Generative AI

Mapo-gu in Seoul has launched the 24-hour interactive administrative service 'AI Mapo ON' to enable everyone to easily and quickly access administrative information and daily civil services in line with the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

'AI Mapo ON' is a smart administrative service based on generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, allowing real-time Q&A about Mapo-gu policies, daily life information, and civil complaints without restrictions of time or place.

This service is built on the 'Mapo User Guide,' which contains customized daily life information for Mapo-gu and the status of major facilities, as well as a systematically organized knowledge database covering key policy information such as Hyodobapsang, Mapo 11 Major Awards, and the Mapo Circular Train Bus, which encompasses the overall district administration.

In addition, it provides accurate and prompt answers by linking real-time information from the district website, including announcements and notices, educational courses, cultural events, and job postings. Unlike the previous scenario-based (FAQ) chatbots, this service allows users to receive flexible and precise answers to questions asked in everyday language, without the need to input complicated keywords.

Users can start a conversation by clicking the 'AI Mapo ON' icon on the Mapo-gu Office website or the Mapo-gu Office KakaoTalk channel.

Going forward, the satisfaction of 'AI Mapo ON' service users will be monitored in real time to improve response quality, and the accuracy of the service will be further enhanced through continuous inspections and data refinement.
