On June 13, Seo District of Gwangju Metropolitan City appointed An Yuseong (culinary arts) and Ma Okcheon (confectionery and baking), both recognized as masters of South Korea, as ambassadors for the Hometown Love Donation Program. The district plans to invigorate fundraising efforts for the program through their participation.

An Yuseong operates the restaurant Gamaeilsik and has recently gained widespread recognition among the public by appearing on the television show "Heukbaek Chef."

Ma Okcheon is the CEO of Bevier Co., Ltd. and a member of "Seo Honors," a group of major donors in the district. For over 20 years, she has personally baked and donated bread to various social welfare organizations.

Both masters have also pledged to create "Master Collection" gift sets as return gifts for the Hometown Love Donation Program.

An Yuseong plans to offer a three-piece master liquid sauce set, Jangsu Naju Gomtang meal kit, and Perilla Oil Bibim Noodles meal kit as return gifts. In addition to the existing Mawang Pie set, Ma Okcheon will provide new sets such as strawberry and blueberry pies.

An Yuseong and Ma Okcheon stated, "We hope that the Hometown Love Donation Program in Seo District will become better known to more citizens and help the local economy grow. We will do our best to ensure that the program becomes a warm initiative that satisfies both donors and the community."

Kim Ikang, head of Seo District, said, "It is a great support to have two masters of South Korea join as ambassadors and participate in providing return gifts. Moving forward, we will continue to revitalize the local economy through the Hometown Love Donation Program and transparently share project progress with donors to build greater social trust and participation."
