Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Holds 'Love Loofah Delivery Ceremony' at Jang Gi Rye Memorial Hall

The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Namil Lee) held the 'Love Loofah Delivery Ceremony' on June 13 at the Jang Gi Rye Memorial Hall in Dong-gu, Busan, in collaboration with the Jang Gi Rye The Sharing Volunteer Camp (Camp Leader Eunhee Kim).

This event was organized as part of the 'Jang Gi Rye The Sharing Volunteer Camp 625 Project,' which was held in commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month. In cooperation with the Dong-gu Volunteer Center in Busan (Director Myungsoon Park), the ceremony aimed to express gratitude and respect to national merit recipients and their families who have dedicated themselves to the country.

Volunteers delivered 625 handmade acrylic loofahs, along with 250 'health envelopes' containing heartfelt letters written by children and snacks, to the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office. The 625 loofahs symbolize the 6·25 War, representing remembrance of sacrifice and dedication.

At the ceremony, the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "We sincerely thank all the volunteers who have practiced warm sharing for the local community and veterans' families, carrying on the humanitarian spirit and dedication of Dr. Jang Gi Rye. We will continue to promote the value of sharing and strive to establish a culture of honoring veterans through the 'Veterans Dream for All' initiative."

This delivery ceremony served as an occasion where solidarity and warm support within the local community came together to provide meaningful comfort and gratitude to veterans' families.
