Taeson Lee of Daegu City Council: "We Must Support International Students in Daegu"... Support Ordinance Passes Committee

On June 13, during the 317th regular session, Taeson Lee, a member of the Daegu City Council (People Power Party, Dalseo District 4), announced that the "Daegu Metropolitan City Ordinance on Support for International Students," which he proposed to address the outflow of young people and the weakening competitiveness of local universities, was passed in its original form by the relevant standing committee.

This ordinance aims to establish an institutional foundation to ensure the stable academic life of international students and encourage their settlement in the local community. By utilizing international students as an alternative inflow route for the youth population, it is expected to help revitalize the community and attract global talent.
