G-Dragon (real name Kwon Jiyong) will donate 880 million won for the treatment of adolescent alcohol addiction, his agency Galaxy Corporation announced on the 13th.
On this day, G-Dragon will make the donation to the Just Peace Foundation, where he serves as honorary chairman, at the "Peaceminusone Premium Highball Launch Party - The Signal" held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. The donation amount includes the number 8, symbolizing infinity (∞).
The artwork for the third highball, which G-Dragon painted himself, depicts an imperfect daisy in various colors and textures, conveying the message that "it is okay not to be perfect as you are" and "we all live together while carrying our own shortcomings."
G-Dragon said, "I hope that the infinite fandom phenomenon born with the Peaceminusone Highball series will allow a joyful culture, previously unseen on Earth, to blossom in even more places," adding, "I dream that today's donation will continue as a culture in which everyone participates."
Choi Yongho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation and chairman of the Just Peace Foundation, stated, "Going forward, we will present each and every shortcoming that did not exist on Earth as an innovative AI (artificial intelligence) entertech story, together with amazing cosmic narratives."
