Strengthening Fairness Based on National Competency Standards and Blind Recruitment
On June 13, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) announced that it will hire 117 new employees in 2025 to expand policy finance support for small and medium-sized enterprises and secure outstanding talent to support private-led innovative growth.
The number of hires by recruitment category is as follows: 105 for technology guarantee and technology evaluation, 7 for legal affairs and credit management, and 5 for information technology. KOTEC plans to eliminate unreasonable discrimination and prejudice through a fully blind recruitment process based on the National Competency Standards, and to select outstanding talent with excellent job competency.
In particular, as a specialized institution in technology finance, KOTEC will also hire professionals to enhance its expertise, including Ph.D. holders in mechanical, materials and metals, information and communications, textiles and chemicals, statistics and data, and business and economics (finance), as well as Korean Certified Public Accountants, tax accountants, lawyers, and patent attorneys. In addition, KOTEC will conduct separate recruitment for eligible veterans and will actively expand socially equitable hiring by granting additional points to applicants who are persons with disabilities, self-reliant young adults, and local talent from relocated regions.
This new employee recruitment will be conducted in four stages: document screening, written test, first interview, and second interview. The final successful candidates are scheduled to be announced at the end of October.
Kim Jongho, Chairman of KOTEC, stated, "This is the largest recruitment in the history of KOTEC, reflecting our determination to strengthen the role of public institutions in creating jobs for young people amid uncertain domestic and global economic conditions and a contracted job market. KOTEC will prioritize fair recruitment and actively discover outstanding talent to lead technology finance."
