This agreement was established to share the professional capabilities and research resources of both institutions in order to respond to the rapidly changing disaster environment, and to enhance the safety capacity of the local community through joint research and education and training programs. The signing ceremony was held on June 11 at the main conference room of the Chungnam Research Institute in Gongju, Chungnam.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will engage in practical cooperation across seven areas, including disaster safety policy research, analysis of crisis communication structures, development of data-driven response strategies, training of specialized personnel, and the establishment of an education system based on network analysis.
Specific cooperation measures were also discussed, such as sharing adjunct professors and expert talent pools to strengthen local disaster prevention capabilities, developing scenario-based training programs, and applying exemplary disaster prevention cases to the region.
Lee Donggyu, Director of the Center, emphasized, "Based on the achievements of data-driven crisis response research, we will design a disaster management system tailored to the region and create actionable models," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing full cooperation and support."
Ko Seunghee, Director of the Center, also stated, "This agreement will serve as a turning point in enhancing the effectiveness of policy research promoted by the Chungnam Research Institute," and added, "It is highly significant in establishing policy foundations that provide tangible benefits to the local community."
