During an executive meeting on June 10, Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, stated, "Now, as we take the first steps toward national stability, is a decisive moment to organically integrate the new government's policy direction and the President's pledges into our district administration." He emphasized, "Each department should not miss the flow of change, thoroughly review all aspects of district administration, and actively identify and promote projects that can be linked."

Gwanak District plans to further accelerate the fulfillment of pledges and the implementation of ongoing projects aimed at realizing 'Gwanak District, where 500,000 residents are happy,' in line with the new government's philosophy and direction.

In particular, the new government's philosophies of fair growth, pragmatic market orientation, and balanced development align with the main policy goals of Gwanak District's 8th popularly elected administration. Projects currently underway in Gwanak District?including the development of Gwanak S-Valley, the creation of the Gwanaksan Natural Recreation Forest and district-run Senior Welfare Town, establishing Gwanak as a youth-friendly city, and the opening of the Seobu Line and Nangok Line?are also included in the President's regional election pledges. As a result, these projects are expected to gain even more momentum and be implemented at a faster pace during the 8th administration.

The district plans to proactively identify and implement policies linked to the central government's direction in the future, and, based on these efforts, to secure administrative and financial support from both the central government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, said, "Gwanak has always responded proactively to change," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to harmonize with the new government's policy direction and deliver tangible results that residents can truly feel, one by one."
