Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Holds Capacity-Building Training for Parent Association Presidents

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) conducted the "2025 Parent Association President Capacity-Building Training" on June 13 in the main auditorium of the Busan Education Research and Information Institute, targeting approximately 630 parent association presidents from various schools in the Busan area.


This training was organized to promote communication among members of the educational community, enhance understanding of the roles and operations of parent associations, and improve the professionalism and leadership of parent association presidents.


During the training, Cho Younggi, principal of Yongso Elementary School, gave a lecture on the topic of "The Role of Parent Associations in Promoting Parental Participation in Schools," covering the responsibilities and authority of parent associations and methods of communication among school members.


Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "I hope this training will provide practical support in enhancing the capabilities of parent association presidents, and I look forward to further spreading a culture of parental participation. I also ask for your continued interest and cooperation for the advancement of education in Busan."


The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to continue expanding various support and communication opportunities to further strengthen the autonomy and vitality of parent associations.
