Seohyun Group Chairman Junhyung Jung Donates 100 Million Won to Korea University

for the Advancement of the College of Engineering Research Building

Korea University announced on the 17th that it held a donation ceremony for the construction fund of the College of Engineering research building, donated by Junhyung Jung, Chairman of Seohyun Group, at 2 p.m. on June 12 in Conference Room 1 on the first floor of the main building.

This donation was made in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Chairman Jung's admission as a member of the Class of '85, and also reflects his intention to promote a culture of giving as the head of the sponsorship committee of the Class of '85 Alumni Association.

The ceremony was attended by Dongwon Kim, President of Korea University; Gilsu Jang, Dean of the College of Engineering; Jaewook Jeon, Director of External Relations; as well as Chairman Jung and 10 executives from the Class of '85 Alumni Association.

Chairman Jung completed his undergraduate studies in Agricultural Biology (Class of '85) and earned his master's degree in Industrial Engineering (Class of '92) at Korea University. He is currently the Chairman of Seohyun Group and CEO of Accusys Korea, a computer technology company.

Including this donation, he has contributed a total of 209.2 million won to Korea University, both personally and through corporate donations.
