PwC Business Service to Hold Seminar on "Successful IPO Strategies"

PWC Business Service, a consulting firm specializing in IPOs, IR, and PR, announced on June 13 that it will hold a seminar on "Successful IPO Strategies" at 2 p.m. on June 30 at the Samil PwC Academy in Taepyeongno Building, Jung-gu, Seoul.

PwC Business Service to Hold Seminar on "Successful IPO Strategies"

This seminar has been organized to provide practical assistance for domestic companies seeking successful IPOs, covering topics such as IPO accounting conversion and audits, the latest market trends, and preparation processes.

The IPO market, which has been sluggish since the second half of last year, is showing signs of recovery this year. However, new IPO regulatory measures, including the expansion of mandatory holding commitments for institutional investors, are set to take effect in July. These changes could act as variables in the public offering market. This is why understanding the evolving market regulations and adopting strategic approaches for successful listings are necessary.

A mandatory holding commitment is a voluntary pledge by institutional investors allocated public offering shares to hold those shares for a certain period. This measure is intended to reduce short-term trading by institutions. Financial authorities have mandated that at least 40% of the shares allocated to institutions be preferentially allocated to those participating in the commitment. As a result, changes are expected in the profit structure of the IPO market.

At the seminar, domestic IPO experts will share deep insights and approaches to the rapidly changing IPO market and support participants in establishing successful capital-raising strategies.

Key sessions include "IPO Accounting Conversion and Audit" by Park Hojun, Partner at Samil PwC; "M&A and Pre-IPO Investment Stage" by Lee Sangkyu, Director at Samil PwC; and "The Importance of IPO IR and PR" by Shin Dongsoo, Head of the IPO Team at PwC Business Service.

Lee Namgu, CEO of PwC Business Service, stated, "This event will provide practical insights for domestic companies preparing for or considering an IPO," and added, "We hope it will help companies develop strategies optimized for the changing IPO regulations."
