Banjang Warehouse Opens the Era of 'Drive-Thru' with Pickup Center

Banjang Warehouse Opens the Era of 'Drive-Thru' with Pickup Center

Banjang Warehouse, which has established itself as the largest online building materials distributor in the Seoul metropolitan area through online orders and the industry’s first dawn delivery service, is now bringing a new wave to the building materials distribution market with its offline unmanned system. The 'Banjang Warehouse Pickup Center Yongin Heungdeok Branch,' which opened in March, continues its steady growth by setting new monthly sales records.

The Banjang Warehouse Pickup Center operates as an unmanned accessory shop open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Located inside a gas station, it features a convenient system that allows loading and unloading to be completed in just one minute. In addition, customers can receive extra discounts when they pick up materials they have pre-ordered online themselves.

Due to the nature of the wallpapering industry, where work sites begin early in the morning, the open-access store, which allows visits at any time when materials are urgently needed, has received enthusiastic support from local site managers.

According to Banjang Warehouse, the number of pickup center customers grew by more than 150% each month within just three months of opening. As more customers seek to purchase materials at lower prices through pickup orders, the popularity of the pickup center continues to rise.

The pickup center offers a variety of discount benefits, including time sales with significant discounts on selected materials each month, box discounts for bulk purchases by visiting customers, and selling essential accessories at prices lower than the lowest available online.

According to company representatives, this direct customer pickup system is leading a new trend in the market, alongside drive-thru coffee shops and the growth of unmanned stores. In the interior building materials market, the global brand Home Depot already offers a 'Curbside Pickup' service, and in Korea, Banjang Warehouse is the first to present a new model where customers can experience both a 24-hour unmanned accessory shop and material pickup at the same time.

Attention is now focused on how these moves by Banjang Warehouse will impact the building materials distribution market.
