On June 13, shares of defense company Huneed surged sharply. This comes as tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated.
As of 10:03 a.m. on this day, Huneed was trading at 11,170 won, up 1,390 won (14.21%) from the previous trading day.
Investor interest appears to have intensified following reports that Huneed previously supplied transmit/receive units for early warning radar systems to Israel's Elta Systems.
According to foreign media, on this day, the Israeli Air Force launched an operation named "Nation of Lions" and conducted airstrikes targeting dozens of Iranian military and nuclear facilities.
Immediately after the airstrikes, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel had carried out a "preemptive strike" against Iran and declared a special state of emergency throughout Israel.
