Daejeon Office of Education: "No Programs Related to Reebak School in Neulbom School"

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that, according to the results of a comprehensive survey regarding instructors for the Neulbom School program, no schools were found to be operating programs or affiliated with any specific organizations related to Reebak School.

As part of the Ministry of Education's comprehensive survey on the Neulbom School program, the Daejeon Office of Education conducted an investigation from June 5 to June 12, covering all 151 elementary schools in the region regarding instructors for the Neulbom School program.

The survey found that there were no schools that had entered into direct contracts with specific organizations, including Reebak School, as identified by the Ministry of Education. Among Neulbom School instructors (individual contractors, company contractors, and community-linked), there were no instructors who had completed training provided by these organizations. However, 16 instructors were found to possess private certificates issued by the organization in question.

Furthermore, from 2021 to 2025, there were no complaints regarding political remarks or violations of educational neutrality by Neulbom School instructors during program operations involving students.

As a follow-up measure, the Daejeon Office of Education plans to inspect the program operations, political remarks, and possible violations of educational neutrality by instructors at schools employing certificate holders. If any improper or illegal activities are identified, the office will take strict actions, including terminating instructor contracts.

Additionally, the office will once again emphasize the importance of maintaining educational neutrality and prohibiting political bias in the operation of the Neulbom School program. It will also guide students, parents, and instructors at all schools to report any issues arising during program operations to the 'Neulbom School Online Reporting Center.'

Kim Okse, Director of Education Policy at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "We will do our utmost in the selection and management of instructors to maintain educational neutrality and ensure that the Neulbom School is a program that everyone can trust and participate in, while providing high-quality programs."
