This program aims to encourage long-term retention of core talent in the region and to strengthen companies' research capabilities by partially subsidizing housing costs for researchers who are currently employed by or are expected to be newly hired by manufacturing companies in the Gumi area.

Specifically, the program will provide up to 300,000 won per month for seven months, from June to December 2025, to cover interest on lease or purchase loans or monthly rent for research personnel.

Eligible applicants are R&D personnel affiliated with manufacturing companies located in Gumi that have either an in-house research institute or a dedicated R&D department, with up to five applicants allowed per company.

The application period is open until June 27, and companies must submit the application documents for their affiliated research personnel either in person at the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry or by registered mail.

Yoon Jaeho, Chairman of the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "This housing support initiative goes beyond simple welfare; it is a crucial project that lays the foundation for securing technological competitiveness for companies and driving innovation in the local manufacturing industry. I hope many companies will actively participate and join efforts to enhance the overall competitiveness of Gumi's industry."

Meanwhile, the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to continue expanding various customized support policies to advance the structure of the local manufacturing sector and attract talent.
