The Gwangju Regional Veterans Office announced on June 12 that the Korea Rural Community Corporation KRC Happiness Charging Volunteer Group recently carried out a "Sharing Practice Volunteer Activity for Veterans Families."
The volunteer activity, held on June 11 at Naju Mirae Farm, was attended by about 50 executives and employees, including Ha Taeseon, Director of Rural Planning. In commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month, the participants personally prepared and packaged 2,000 kilograms of kimchi to be delivered to national merit recipients who have sacrificed and contributed to the country. The 200 boxes of packaged kimchi will be distributed to 200 households of elderly merit recipients living in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk.
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is promoting the "Everyone's Veterans Dream" donation project, which encourages nationwide participation to honor and enhance the welfare of national merit recipients who have devoted and sacrificed themselves for the country and its people.
Ha Taeseon, Director at Korea Rural Community Corporation, said, "It was a valuable opportunity to express our respect and gratitude to the national merit recipients in our community."
Kim Seokki, Head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office, expressed his appreciation to the corporation's employees for taking the lead in practicing living patriotism in daily life, and added, "I hope this sharing volunteer activity leads to 'Everyone's Veterans' among public enterprises in Naju Innovation City."
