On June 12, NH NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance announced that it has expanded the scope of its digital insurance claim service to include all insurance products, as part of its efforts to innovate the customer experience.
The digital insurance claim service is available 24/7 throughout the year via the company’s website and mobile platform. Previously, the service was limited to certain products such as disease and accident insurance, but with this expansion, it now covers all products, including fire, agricultural machinery, and livestock insurance.
This service expansion is also linked to the recently introduced artificial intelligence (AI)-based “automatic insurance claim review system.” Customers can file insurance claims digitally at any time, and the AI analyzes submitted documents in real time, providing immediate payouts for simple cases.
An NH NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance representative stated, “With this measure, we have implemented a one-stop business process that applies digital technology to the entire process from claim filing to review and payment.” The representative added, “We plan to reduce the insurance claim payment period from the current 1.1 days to 0.7 days by 2027.”
NH NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance is currently conducting consulting for customer-centered digital transformation. The company plans to strengthen digital services not only for insurance claims, but also across all business areas, including product enrollment and contract management.
