This forum and policy presentation have been organized to examine AI and data-driven administration from the perspective of the younger generation and to discover practical policy proposals to solve urban issues.

On the first day of the event, June 18, the '2nd Hwaseong Data Forum' will be held for 120 minutes at 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room 317 at COEX. The forum will be attended by Park Cheolsoo, President of the Hwaseong City Research Institute, the city's AI Strategy Officer, the Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation, Hwaseong Urban Corporation, and officials from the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, who will communicate directly with young participants.

During the forum, the five finalist teams from the 'Hwaseong City University (Graduate) Student Urban Data Contest,' which has been conducted by the city since May, will deliver their final PPT presentations and undergo the final round of judging. The contest was conducted in a way that required participants to propose AI-based policy tasks suitable for Hwaseong City, based on the 'Urban AI Policy Research' report published by the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements in 2023. More than 50 expert judges and on-site evaluators will participate in the final judging. The judging panel will select winners based on criteria such as report analysis skills, understanding of Hwaseong Special City, and the effectiveness of the proposed policies.

The forum will also feature a keynote lecture by Lee Sewon, Associate Research Fellow at the Digital City Research Division of the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, titled "Policy Directions and Tasks for Realizing Korean-Style Urban AI."

At 4:30 p.m. on the same day, the 'University Student Policy Presentation' will take place at the same venue. At this presentation, the Technopol Overseas Exploration Team of the Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation will share the results of their overseas exploration, followed by a mentoring session.

The 'Technopol Overseas Exploration Team' is a global exploration program operated by the city since 2023 for high school students and young people. Through this program, more than 100 young people and students have explored major overseas cities such as those in the United States, Europe, and Singapore as of this year.

At the policy presentation, participants in the exploration team will propose policy ideas and implementation plans that can be applied to the city, based on their experiences abroad.

Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "The open-mindedness and spirit of challenge possessed by young people are important driving forces for Hwaseong Special City's administration as it prepares for an AI-based future city," adding, "We will listen carefully so that the policies proposed by young people at this event can be actively reflected in city administration."
