Jeongeup City Launches Public Delivery App 'Consumer Coupon Support Program'

Receive 10,000 Won Monthly for Three Orders Over 20,000 Won Each

Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province is officially launching a public delivery app consumer coupon support program through WemakepriceO.

According to the city on June 11, this program is a nationwide policy led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, which has been implemented since June 10. It aims to promote both the activation of public delivery apps and the stimulation of consumer spending.

WemakepriceO charges an intermediary fee of about 2%, which is significantly lower than the 2% to 9.7% charged by private delivery apps. As a result, it is gaining attention as a small business-friendly platform that returns real profits to franchise owners, and it is being used as the main channel for this consumer coupon policy.

The support method is as follows: consumers who complete three orders of at least 20,000 won each at general restaurants, snack bars, or bakeries through WemakepriceO will automatically receive a consumer coupon worth 10,000 won around the 10th of the following month. Each person can receive this benefit once per month, and the coupon can be used for another order of at least 20,000 won.

This program is retroactively applied to usage records from June 1, and only up to three payment records per month are recognized. If the number of eligible orders falls short, the remaining orders can be carried over to the next month and counted as cumulative performance; however, orders exceeding three per month cannot be carried over. The qualifying amount is the total including menu items and delivery fees, but excludes any discounts or points used within the app.

Alongside the consumer coupon support, the city is also running its own consumption promotion events. Specifically, general franchise stores offer a delivery fee discount coupon of up to 2,000 won once per day, while the traditional market section offers up to 4,000 won. In addition, when paying with the Jeongeup Sarang Gift Certificate, 5% of the purchase amount is credited as payback points. There is also a benefit where 1% of the total payment amount is returned as payback points.

A city official said, "Through this program, we expect to provide substantial discount benefits to citizens and increase profits for small business owners," adding, "We will continue to develop various measures to stimulate local consumption."
