Served as Director General for Policy Planning, Director General for Venture Innovation Policy, and More
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business announced on the 11th that it has appointed Oh Kiwoong, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as its new full-time Vice Chairman.
Vice Chairman Oh graduated from the Department of Economics at Yonsei University and entered public service through the 39th Higher Civil Service Examination. He has served as Director General for Policy Planning, Director General for Venture Innovation Policy, Director General for Startup Promotion Policy, Director General for Global Growth Policy, Director General for Planning and Coordination, and Vice Minister at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Vice Chairman Oh will serve as the full-time Vice Chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business for the next three years.
Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, stated, "The new Vice Chairman Oh is recognized as an expert in policy, having accumulated diverse administrative experience and expertise in the field of SME policy for over 30 years." He added, "As he has played a leading role in improving systems and developing field-oriented policies for the growth and innovation of SMEs, he is expected to take a central role in responding to major SME policy issues and strengthening the cooperation system with the government, the National Assembly, and related organizations."
