Since its launch in November last year, the Unni app has continued to grow, reaching second place in the Android (AOS) beauty category on the Thai app store, and ranking 11th in the health and fitness category on iOS.
The Thai Unni app has enhanced accessibility to Korean hospitals by focusing on localization and improving the convenience of information searches. Users can compare or search for prices and information about Korean aesthetic medical procedures in Thai, and the app supports automatic translation, enabling users to read reviews, consult about procedures, and make hospital reservations.
Thailand is the second overseas market for Gangnam Unni. With the high popularity of K-beauty and fashion, Thailand's aesthetic medical market is growing at an annual rate of over 12%.
Going forward, Gangnam Unni plans to further enhance in-app personalized content for Thai medical tourists visiting Korea, aiming to provide a more differentiated medical tourism experience.
Hong Seungil, CEO of Healing Paper, stated, "Although K-medical tourism is experiencing remarkable growth, many foreign tourists still face limitations in accessing quality information about Korean hospitals," adding, "We will maximize reliability and convenience in providing medical information, thereby contributing to attracting more foreign patients to Korea."
