Regular Inspections of 16 Key Sites
to Continue Until Mid-October
The Administrative City Construction Agency will conduct a safety management inspection together with Korea Land and Housing Corporation for two days starting June 12, ahead of the full onset of the monsoon season.
The inspection will cover a total of 16 key facilities and construction sites within the Administrative City (new town).
Previously, since April, the agency has been carrying out inspections of public facilities and construction sites used by citizens as a proactive measure against natural disasters during the summer season.
Among these, 16 critical sites that require intensive management have been designated, and the agency plans to continue regular inspections at these locations until mid-October, when the risk of storm and flood damage remains relatively high.
The agency will focus on verifying whether the storm and flood prevention measures it has established are being effectively implemented. During this process, it will closely examine drainage plans and rainwater management systems, the safety of slopes and retaining structures, and the installation status of facilities to prevent soil runoff. Any issues identified will be addressed immediately.
Kim Sanggi, Director of Project Management, stated, "These are preemptive measures to protect the lives and property of citizens in response to extreme rainfall and other abnormal weather events," adding, "Through effective, on-site inspections, we will work to make the Administrative City an even safer place to live."
