Sunwoo Enterprise and YFineTech Sign MOU for Joint Development of Food Waste Processor Filters

Sunwoo Enterprise Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Mina), a company specializing in home food waste processors, announced on June 5 that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with YFineTech Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Eunkyum), which holds catalytic adsorption technology and patents in the field of activated carbon.

This agreement commemorates the launch of the new product 'Echoche Mini', jointly developed by Sunwoo Enterprise and TheCare, as well as the release of the 'catalyst composite activated carbon' exclusively for Echoche, which the two companies co-developed and will introduce for six months starting in the second half of 2024. The event also served as an opportunity for both companies to reaffirm their commitment to ongoing collaboration, including further verification of activated carbon products to be developed in the future, and to pursue mutual growth together. Both parties plan to continue their cooperation through additional research and performance validation of related technologies.

Through this MOU, the two companies have set as their core goal the resolution of the 'odor problems caused by low-cost or non-genuine filters,' which have been a major source of consumer complaints. They also expressed their determination to enhance the competitiveness of the eco-friendly and high-performance food waste processor market. In particular, they plan to uphold the quality and pride of the K-food waste processor industry by leveraging the synergy between the domestically supplied 'Echoche Mini' and YFineTech, a company specializing in activated carbon based on domestic technology.

Kang Mina, CEO of Sunwoo Enterprise, stated, "This agreement is a symbolic case of protecting a MADE IN KOREA food waste processor ecosystem that is complete in terms of domestic technology, production, development, and after-sales service."
