On this day, Yoon Juseok, Director General of the Consular Safety Bureau, presided over a joint virtual situation review meeting with the Overseas Koreans Agency and local diplomatic missions. The Ministry decided to closely monitor the local situation in relation to this incident and to continue communication with the Korean community. The government plans to take all necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of overseas Korean nationals.
Yoon, who chaired the meeting, emphasized through safety notices the importance of "continuously sharing updates on related developments and ensuring the utmost protection of overseas Korean nationals through close cooperation among the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Overseas Koreans Agency, and diplomatic missions."
