A trespasser attempting to break into a residence in Gyeryong City, South Chungcheong Province, was apprehended thanks to real-time CCTV monitoring.

According to the city on June 10, at around 3:00 p.m. on April 27, a Gyeryong City control officer closely tracked the movements of a man attempting to trespass into a residence in Gyeryong City by monitoring the CCTV footage.

The control officer relayed the suspect's escape route and location to the police in real time. Through close cooperation between the control center and the Nonsan Police Station, the suspect was immediately apprehended at the scene.

This case is being recognized as further proof that CCTV and control systems serve as guardians of public safety, going beyond simple video surveillance.

In fact, the control officer played a key role in preventing greater harm by making quick decisions and systematically communicating information.

The Nonsan Police Chief awarded a letter of appreciation to the control officer in recognition of these efforts.
