Review of Regional Integrated Defense Posture

Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on June 9 that it held the 2nd quarter Integrated Defense Council meeting in the county government conference room.

The meeting was attended by Sung Nakin, chair of the Changnyeong County Integrated Defense Council, as well as representatives from the 2nd Battalion of the Army's 5870th Unit, the police station, the fire station, and related organizations. Participants reviewed the region's integrated defense posture and shared matters requiring inter-agency cooperation.

In particular, this meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm security awareness in commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month in June. Discussions focused on strengthening effective training preparations and cooperation systems, along with a report on the plans for the 2025 Chungmu Exercise scheduled to take place from June 16 to 20.

County Governor Sung Nakin stated, "This meeting, held during Patriots and Veterans Month, was a meaningful opportunity to review our regional security posture and enhance the effectiveness of the Chungmu Exercise." He added, "We will continue to build an unwavering integrated defense system that can withstand any crisis through close cooperation with relevant organizations."
