Yongin City Creates "Garden-Style Barefoot Trail" at Sinbong Sports Park

This barefoot trail is a dedicated walking path made by mixing loess and decomposed granite, measuring 1.3 to 1.6 meters in width and 100 meters in length. The trail features a loess ball experience area, a garden reflecting the seasons, as well as convenient facilities such as a foot-washing station, shoe rack, and shade canopy.

The city invested 200 million won from its budget for the project, beginning the design in January this year and completing construction this month.

Mayor Lee Sangil stated, "The newly created barefoot trail goes beyond being a simple walking path. It is designed to help people restore their mind and body through communion with nature and to experience an eco-friendly lifestyle even within the city." He added, "Located at the center of a residential apartment complex, it offers excellent accessibility, making it a space where people can feel nature and heal even in their busy daily lives."
