Welfare Points Distributed Grows by 2,900% in Four Years
More Companies Join, Including Samsung Display and Hyundai Engineering & Construction

Naver Pay announced on June 9 that it has been selected as the operator of Kia's employee welfare points program and will introduce its expanded welfare points service for the first time.

The key feature of Naver Pay's expanded welfare points is that they can be freely used at any merchant that accepts simple payments, without the need to convert points separately. The system is designed to allow companies to restrict usage to specific merchants or set expiration periods, according to their policies.


In addition to a dedicated corporate welfare page and exclusive inquiry channel for employees, a Points Partner Center has also been launched, enabling corporate managers to directly allocate and manage points.


The company also explained that more businesses are adopting the 'open welfare points' system, which allows welfare points to be used at any Naver Pay merchant.


Following Samsung Display, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and Hyundai Engineering, Dongseo Food has also adopted the system since January.


Naver Pay stated that since the launch of the service in 2022, the number of companies subscribing to the welfare points program has increased more than 12-fold, and the volume of points distributed has grown by 2,900% compared to the initial period.


Lee Miyoung, the lead manager, said, "This welfare points program, introduced in partnership with Kia, is an innovative model that expands individual autonomy and choice for employees, while also realizing the digital transformation and efficiency of welfare program management."
