Recruitment for the Parent Accompanied Internship Program
Supporting Stable Social Integration for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Hana Financial Group announced on June 9 that it is recruiting participants for its "Parent Accompanied Internship Program," which aims to help individuals with developmental disabilities and those with borderline intellectual functioning achieve stable social integration and establish a foundation for independence by allowing them to work together with a parent or guardian.
This "Parent Accompanied Internship Program" targets individuals with developmental disabilities and those with borderline intellectual functioning who, despite reaching working age, still require care. It offers them the opportunity to work in pairs with their guardian, gaining diverse practical experience in the workplace. The program is designed to help participants prepare for independent living while providing psychological stability.
Through this initiative, Hana Financial Group plans to create a stable work environment where young people with developmental disabilities or borderline intellectual functioning can grow into healthy members of society. Additionally, the program is expected to reduce the caregiving burden on guardians of young people with disabilities and contribute to job creation at workplaces currently facing labor shortages.
Internship participants will receive systematic job training and social skills development programs during the six-month internship period, including social training, practical competency enhancement education, and cultural experiences. Those who successfully complete the internship will also be awarded a set prize.
Pre-training and regular meetings will be provided to participating workplaces. To help internship participants adapt to their roles, business owners will receive education on developmental disabilities and borderline intellectual functioning, and regular consulting will be offered to support the transition to employment after the internship ends.
Applications for the "Parent Accompanied Internship Program" can be submitted through the official Hana Financial Group website until June 30. A total of 20 teams will be selected through document screening and interviews.
A representative from the ESG Win-Win Finance Team at Hana Financial Group stated, "We hope that through this internship, young people with developmental disabilities and borderline intellectual functioning will be able to demonstrate their abilities as healthy members of society and take the lead in their own lives," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in creating a sustainable employment environment where everyone can grow together in a world free of prejudice."
In addition, Hana Financial Group is carrying out customized projects to support the healthy growth and economic independence of people with disabilities, including providing physical and learning aids for children with disabilities, employment training for individuals with developmental and hearing disabilities, and renovations and eco-friendly vehicle support for residential facilities for people with disabilities. The group also operates 18 daycare centers for children with disabilities, opened as part of its "100 Daycare Centers Construction Project," providing high-quality childcare services to children with disabilities.
