The Color Liddle Shot introduced by CU is a value-for-money product that reduces the capacity and price of the Color Liddle Shot original, which is currently sold by VT Cosmetic, for exclusive sale at convenience stores. CU's Color Liddle Shot uses an airless container type instead of a pouch type, which prevents air from entering and allows users to dispense only the desired amount, enabling hygienic use without altering the formulation. The product comes in three types: 'Liddle Shot Cica Green,' 'Liddle Shot Vita Yellow,' and 'Liddle Shot Moisture Blue.' The green variant soothes the skin, the yellow provides brightening care, and the blue offers moisture replenishment.

In addition, CU is launching three types of 'Skin Pack,' which help create the optimal skin temperature for makeup application. The original product, which contained 100 sheets, is now offered in a small-capacity version with 30 sheets. 'Skin Pack Soothing Green,' 'Skin Pack Brightening Yellow,' and 'Skin Pack Moisture Blue' each provide soothing, brightening, and moisturizing effects, respectively.

The reason CU is expanding its cosmetics lineup is that demand for cosmetics at convenience stores continues to increase. This year, cosmetics sales rose by 18.1% compared to the previous year. In 2023 and the year before, sales growth rates were 28.3% and 16.5%, respectively.

Choi Minji, a merchandiser on BGF Retail's household goods team, said, "Amid ongoing high inflation and economic downturn, demand for value-for-money cosmetics continues to grow, so we have added a lineup of small-capacity cosmetics that satisfy both price and functionality. We will continue to discover popular products that reflect current trends so that consumers can experience rational consumption at convenience stores."
