The volunteer activities, which began on June 4, involved 34 participants, including Jeju Air employees, medical staff from the Open Medical Society, and members of a general volunteer group recruited through Jeju Air's official social media channels. They provided free medical consultations, prescribed medications, and delivered basic health education to residents in the Talisay, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu areas.
The medical services covered emergency medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, dentistry, and Korean traditional medicine. In addition to basic health consultations tailored to local circumstances, the team also offered guidance on practical health management methods that can be applied in daily life.
Since 2023, Jeju Air has formed a new overseas medical volunteer group that includes both customers and employees, thereby putting the value of sharing into practice. In addition, Aekyung Industrial, an affiliate of Aekyung Group to which Jeju Air belongs, has supported the initiative by donating approximately 3,100 sets of toothpaste and toothbrushes to local residents, continuing the group's commitment to social contribution at the corporate level.
Since signing a business agreement in 2011, Jeju Air and the Open Medical Society have conducted medical volunteer missions for 14 years in Asian regions where Jeju Air operates, including Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos.
A Jeju Air representative stated, "We believe that sincere social contribution activities are the way for companies and society to grow together," and added, "Jeju Air will continue to practice sustainable sharing with local communities by utilizing a wide range of resources."
