On June 7, a filming team from SBS's flagship travel program "The Most Beautiful Journey in the World" visited the village and began full-scale filming.
Guided by a docent from the Goryeoin Village Tourism Office, the filming team visited key attractions including the Goryeoin Culture Center, Moon Viktor Art Museum, Central Asia Theme Street, Goryeo Broadcasting, and Hong Beomdo Park. They captured on film the 150-year migration history of the Goryeoin people, the identity of their diaspora, and their cultural heritage.
Shin Joya, head of Goryeoin Village, stated, "This small village, once considered a remote area of Gwangju, is now being reborn as a historical and cultural destination attracting global attention," and added, "We will develop it not just as a tourist spot, but as a space for coexistence, solidarity, healing, and hope."
