Toss CEO Lee Seunggun: "We Aim for AI Recognition"... Triple-Digit AI and Data Recruitment This Year Lee Seunggun, CEO of Toss, is explaining the business vision and work environment at the 'Toss USA Meetup'. Toss

Toss stated on June 8 that CEO Lee held the company's first global recruitment networking event, the 'Toss USA Meetup,' on June 6 (local time), where he announced, "We will become a company recognized in the field of artificial intelligence (AI)."

The event was held in Los Altos, California, inviting engineers currently working in Silicon Valley. At the event, CEO Lee introduced Toss's business vision and a work environment optimized for engineers.

Toss is strengthening its machine learning (ML) and AI capabilities across the entire company. Starting with advertising and commerce, the company is advancing the AI-based sophistication of all its services. In this process, engineers can grow into AI experts by leveraging a culture of autonomous experimentation, an excellent deployment system, and vast amounts of data based on 24.8 million monthly active users (MAU).

Toss USA is Toss's global office established in Silicon Valley this year to secure top talent both domestically and internationally. Toss plans to use this office to create opportunities for exchanges with engineers from around the world and to showcase its technological capabilities. To this end, the company is also considering collaborations with local organizations such as the KOTRA Silicon Valley Trade Center, Changbal, and the Korean Computer Scientists and Engineers Association in America (KOCSEA).

To hire a triple-digit number of talents in AI and data roles this year, Toss established a dedicated 'Data and AI Recruitment Team' last month. This team is focused on recruiting diverse talent responsible for data-driven decision-making and the infrastructure supporting more than 100 product-centric services at Toss.

CEO Lee emphasized, "Toss considers securing outstanding engineers as its top priority and is prepared to offer the highest level of compensation accordingly. Together with excellent team members, we will become a company recognized in the field of AI."
