The Waterworks and Sewerage Office of Yeonggwang County, South Jeolla Province, has designated the period from June 9 to June 27, approximately three weeks, as a special collection period for overdue water and sewage usage fees, and plans to conduct intensive collection activities during this time.
To address overdue fees that have not been paid for an extended period, the office will organize a special collection team and carry out proactive collection efforts. In addition, for those with long-term or large outstanding balances, the office plans to implement strict measures such as asset seizures, water supply suspension, and administrative account closures.
An official from the Waterworks and Sewerage Office stated, "Through promotional activities such as sending payment notices, we will encourage voluntary payment of overdue fees and recommend applying for automatic transfers. For those with large overdue amounts, we will offer installment payment plans to reduce the burden of lump-sum payments and promote faithful payment."
