Suseong Webtoon Subsidiary Nears HBM4 Entry... Record-High Performance Expected

Suseong Webtoon announced on June 5, 2025, that its semiconductor subsidiary, Future Hightech, continues to show strong performance in the high bandwidth memory (HBM) inspection equipment sector.

The company reported that quality testing for HBM4 inspection equipment is progressing smoothly. It has raised its operating profit target due to increased sales across inspection equipment and components. Future Hightech has also begun expansion investments to increase production capacity (CAPA).

Based on inspection equipment for HBM3E, which it began supplying in 2023, Future Hightech is currently achieving monthly sales exceeding 3 billion KRW. The company expects to surpass average monthly sales of 4 billion KRW in the second half of this year. Since March 2025, it has been conducting qualification tests for next-generation HBM4 inspection equipment and is awaiting approval for delivery.

A company representative stated, "HBM4 equipment is about to be supplied in earnest to global semiconductor companies," and added, "We expect sales to be fully reflected starting in the fourth quarter of this year." The representative continued, "We have raised our operating profit target for this year from the previous 4.5 billion KRW to 7 billion KRW," and added, "We are also expanding production capacity in response to increasing demand."

Sales in Future Hightech's probe card pogo pin and PCB divisions are also increasing rapidly. Monthly sales, which were around 800 million KRW last year, have more than doubled so far this year. The company attributes this growth to its effective strategy of diversifying its semiconductor inspection equipment portfolio.

Future Hightech is a subsidiary in which Suseong Webtoon holds a 64.21% stake, and supplies inspection equipment to major domestic semiconductor companies, including SK Hynix. The company has already completed development of WMB (Wafer Mother Board) for HBM4 and is conducting quality evaluations with major domestic clients. It is also working on developing equipment for HBM5.
