Yangpyeong County Appoints "Barefoot Man" Jo Seunghwan and Singer Jin Hyejin as Promotional Ambassadors

Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jin Jinseon) announced on June 5 that "Barefoot Man Jo Seunghwan" and "Singer Jin Hyejin" were appointed as promotional ambassadors for Yangpyeong County at the June monthly meeting held in the main conference room.

Jo Seunghwan, known as the "Barefoot Man," holds the world record for standing barefoot on ice for 5 hours and 10 minutes. He is also an international environmental activist, raising awareness about the importance of the environment and engaging in various activities to overcome the climate crisis.

Additionally, popular singer Jin Hyejin is active in various fields, appearing on programs such as "Trot God Is Here" and "Trot Champion," and is known for her outstanding vocal talent and unique voice.

At the appointment ceremony, Jo Seunghwan said, "It is an honor to be appointed as a promotional ambassador for Yangpyeong, Korea's leading eco-friendly city where people and nature coexist," and added, "As a promotional ambassador, I will do my best to widely promote Yangpyeong as a livable and charming place."

Singer Jin Hyejin also stated, "I am honored to be appointed as a promotional ambassador for Yangpyeong, a city full of attractions and enjoyable festivals, and to help promote Yangpyeong," and continued, "With my affection for Yangpyeong, I will work hard to showcase the city's many charms."

Governor Jin Jinseon said, "I am delighted to appoint Jo Seunghwan and Jin Hyejin, who are loved in their respective fields and are very active, as promotional ambassadors for Yangpyeong County," and added, "I look forward to both ambassadors actively promoting the many attractions of Yangpyeong in the future."
